I just wanted to wish everyone a very happy Star Wars Day! Personally, I wish we celebrated the magic of Star Wars on the day of Episode IV’s release (May 25th) instead, so that we didn’t all sound like padawans who would benefit from the services of a speech-language pathologist, but I understand the desire to party it up three weeks earlier.
Star Wars had a profound impact on my desire to tell stories and do so in a visually evocative way. No matter how much I might grumble about the prequels, I am truly thankful to George Lucas for sharing his colourful, resonant, and awe-inspiring galaxy with us. George is a genius and will always be one of my artistic heroes.
